View all 6 comments Report Dj- Nov 6, 2008 at 01:21 PM Hello I just started having the same problem you described I went to add/remove and saw I was on So I looked up all the suggestions and tryed to unistall and reinstall cd-rom drivers which Windows reinstalled automatically when I restarted. This process of holding the eject button while the system restores is re-calibrating the laser. Im using Dell Inspiron 6000, Win XP and my cd drive's name is TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSL462C (it appears in the device manager).

It kept saying insert blank disk. How should I think about this?
