Maybe its something else, but it just doesn't feel very smooth. but it's nothing spectacular in the least, and feels like a clunky port of a console game. Yes they took out assault, but Its so similar to capture the flag and onslaught and warfare Is pretty much the same thing just with more stuff (isn't that good?) The I looked up an Alienware with comparable specs to mine when I built my computer, and I couldn't even configure one as fast that wasn't more than twice as expensive at
It's always been one of the biggest dividing lines between the UT99 community and 2k4 community. Its like they designed it for consoles, and slapped on a qwerty keyboard.
Thanks a lot guys, and sorry for making another thread on system requirements. :( rosco36510-08-2012, 10:41 PMYeah you can definitely run it fine. More resources See also solved what makes a custom build superior to a big box store system if all the specs seem very similar? Yeah, imagine, downloading ut3 from steam from the terminal command line in ubuntu. :p:D breadtruck06-25-2008, 09:32 AMand in doing so, leaves the majority of their playerbase behind due to system requirements. I'm not saying TF2 is bad, but I don't think TF2 (team fortress classic HD, lol)...
When the game first came out, I was using a HP Pavilion dv9548us ( 1.66 GHz Intel C2D, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS, and 2GB RAM ). UT3 tries to get the best of both worlds, you can dodge off walls, but only dodge once. I'm not saying TF2 is bad, but I don't think TF2 (team fortress classic HD, lol) should be getting so much attention and UT3 not getting so much, when really their Maps feels overcomplex and big.
The main problem is that the UT (PC) players are a bunch of whiny twits. I believe my laptop is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ and that might be why they're not working. There are a lot of 'gaming' laptops floating around with specs similar to yours and even much worse integrated graphics, and the UT3 engine does run on much weaker GPUs than http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/will-this-laptop-run-unreal-tournament-3.278321/ Some people won't play the game if there aren't that many other people play it.
Sorry if this offends some people, but I believe gameplay > graphics, just a fact that the graphics are low. FYI cards like the 7600, 8600, 8500 and such aren't gaming cards.. With UT3, they asked for gameplay more like UT99, ie; more grounded movement, lack of boost dodge, and an Onslaught type game with a way to make a comeback. I would check this site and input the values as specified.
My first system couldn't handle UT. you can try this out i ll tweek somemore taday its just a time thing i try not ta get too hung up on it but the characters get better as u tweek n make things Ah ok, thanks for clarifying that. The hardware requirements are simply too high for a pc game! (compare it with tf2/cod4's system requirements) the stuff that you mentioned doesn't count as new stuff...
even spectacular mods are going unplayed because theres no point (such as i play as Master Chief in UT3... Last time I checked (couple of weeks) there were less than 1000 players online. The problem isnt just hardware though my PC can run it comfortably but I just canot stand the way it moves or plays it gets very boring very fast no matter The vehicles are overpowered, less polished versions of their predecessors (the one's that were actually in 2k4) They system specs were too high The game was nowhere near polished when released. If you wish to be unblocked, you must agree that you will take immediate steps to rectify this issue.
the problem is no ones there to have FUN anymore, its all competition. Sc00by2204-25-2008, 12:09 PMUT3 is was less demanding on my old pc then UT2004, You can set the graphics a lot lower on ut3 than you can with ut2004 Defeat04-25-2008, 12:25 PMUT3 Reply With Quote 02-12-2011,01:41 AM #8 geronaho Guest Will Ut3 run on my cr48?
The ability to drop weapons, which had been part of DM since 99 was taken out and then called an exploit when people complained. Players fight the monsters deathmatch-style in order to survive. its minimum settings at best, but its rather smooth still. If there's anything to be done in this situation?
The requirements for Source are much higher. Epic really should've known better, especially given how well done the maps for Gears of War multiplayer are done!! 5) Weapon Balancing, very very poor. IceIYIaN06-09-2008, 04:50 PMI never really liked UT to UT2004's movement. Just about the entire Onslaught community said, "this sucks" and moved on.
Get Fragging guys :D Nicely said, finchie! Many people liked the UT2kX movement system better so they stayed with UT2004 or went to different games. 3. While the whole Node capture game is fun, simple fact is one of two things happen. The framerate dips a little in places, but it's usually around 40+.
Insufficient hardware. + Yes, I can run it at lower settings... - It looks hideous when I do! Looking for Talent? I think that's more of a cpu issue than top of the line mobile graphics. I do miss some of the older maps when it comes to UT3 but it's all about stepping forward.
chu|MyU06-19-2008, 09:11 AMUT3 is was less demanding on my old pc then UT2004, You can set the graphics a lot lower on ut3 than you can with ut2004 Just because you Not that many people playing. then again, it did take people a while to make the change from CS to CS:S. This is the UT3 engine so it's performance matches other UT3 games.
The second problem is that it makes some pretty heavy demands on graphics, but the levels I've played just don't look very good.
